The first and formost thing I believe is that the world and everyone in it owes me nothing. The converse is true, I don’t owe you anything either. Of course, I’m sure there are a few in the world who probably feel otherwise. That I believe too. I believe I’m getting old and I don’t want to end up like my father, broke and alone. I believe I’m the only one that can make me unhappy (even though some people I know try real hard) and I believe I have reached a state of relative comfort and satisfaction with myself. After half a life trying to find comfort in things outside of myself, this is quite an accomplishment  and I’m pretty sure I will not end up like my dad, may he rest in peace.
